Special Prayer For Parents

Hello FIRE Community, today we are taking a pause to pray a special prayer for our parents and parent figures. During this time of year, as children go back to school there are many parents who are struggling to get all the necessities in order for their child or children. Some parents are struggling with separation as it is their child’s first time being away from them for extended periods of time. Today we are standing in the gap for all parents and their unvoiced concerns.

Colossians 3:21

Parents, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged

Ephesians 6:4

Parents, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord

Proverbs 22:6

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it

Matthew 6:33-34

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 127:3-5

Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court
Let us pray.
