Ephesians 6:11-13 - Is Your Armor On?

Ephesians 6:11-13
Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

During your preparation of embarking upon new seasons in your life, it's important to conduct an armor check. God's armor protects you while mounting your faith in him and ultimately understanding that it is important to stay connected to Him in ALL seasons of your life. Satan is known as the Great Deceiver, so it is important to train in and wear the black belt of Truth! Satan also aims to break your righteousness - the state of being right with God; therefore, protect your heart with the Breastplate of Righteousness. The Shoes of the Gospel of Peace prepares you to share the Good News and combat Satan with the word of God. The Shield of Faith covers weaknesses in your armor and your shield will never fail because God is always faithful to you. The Helmet of Salvation protects you from thinking ungodly thoughts, and the Sword of the Spirit guides you into a Godly way of thinking and living. Thus, spiritual preparedness takes the full armor! Therefore, today, ask yourself, is my armor on?
