Psalm 34:1 Your Personal Journey to Building the Ultimate Connection with Christ Pt. 3

Psalm 34:1 (ESV)
I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

The second step is, you have to have hope. Hope is thanking God in advance for what He will do! I trust that God is going to work it out for my good, so I can praise Him in advance! In the movie, Elizabeth was hopeless, and Miss Clara encouraged her to thank God for bringing her family back together, for changing her husband even when she did not know how it was going to be done! Similar to Elizabeth, you may not be there yet and you may not see it, but thank God in advance anyway! Therefore, to build hope, you must have daily praise and worship! Even when we cannot feel His presence, we need to be in a spirit of welcoming His presence. When we praise God, it opens the gates to our hearts and our lives. Praising God which produces hope is extremely important because often times in life we place our hope in people, things, and even situations. We hope that a person fulfills their promise. We hope that a certain thing is given to us. We hope that a situation works out for the benefit of our good. However, we barely stop and take the time to ask ourselves, what should we really hope for and where should our hope really lie? For God promises victory! He promises life, life abundantly! He also promises us fresh anointing and peace! So, I encourage you to take into account that God also promised, "Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning" as Psalm 30:5 reads. Therefore, we need to put our hope in God and God alone because that is the only sure way that promises will be fulfilled, things will be bestowed upon us, and situations will triumph! So, increase your hope by praising and thanking God! Your praise does not have to be elaborate it can be simply woke up this morning with my mind stayed on Jesus, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah! Or You can just say, thank you Lord for waking me up with morning, thank you in advance for letting me have a great day, thank you for letting me not see that person that I’m not trying to see today! You’re simply trying to praise God because when you praise God, that is instilling hope inside of you! That hope for the future! Even our scripture lesson states, “I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth!”
