Isaiah 50:4 (NIV)
The Sovereign LORD has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.
Last week we explored if God instructs us to seek Him and listen to Him. We found through the scriptures undoubtedly God wants us to seek Him and listen to Him. This week we are going to look at the reflection question, “How does God speak to us now?”
Consider the following:
Is there any biblical evidence that God would change the way He communicates with His creation? No, because God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. I submit to you today that you have to be open to the move of God. The more quiet time or listening prayer that you engage in with God, the more you understand when God is ministering to you. The stronger your relationship is with God, the more you will understand the different ways He speaks. Reflect on this, over these past three weeks, have you been intentional about being still and being quiet long enough to enter into His presence? Have you asked God to walk with you day by day so you can know when He is speaking? I encourage you to continue developing your listening prayer, so you can recognize when God is indeed speaking to you.
