3 John 1:22 Developing Your Physical Health

3 John 1:22 (ESV)
Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.

As I read today’s devotional, I encourage you to reflect on: What is consuming your temple? What do you put in your body on a daily basis that is damaging your physical health?

Physical health is strengthening the body through proper nutrition, physical activity, and quality sleep. Often times many people exercise to feel good about themselves, whether it's achieving a certain physical appearance or the desire to gain more energy. When you exercise your body releases endorphins that interact with receptors in your brain that trigger many positive feelings and results in: increase relaxation, aid in controlling addiction, sharpen memory, boost brainpower, alleviation of anxiety, prevention of cognitive decline, improvement of self-confidence, and reduction of stress. Detoxing your temple from toxic things such as unhealthy foods, drinks or drugs and unhealthy practices allows transformation to commence. Engaging in a transformative experience is a wholistic process, and it leads you to your God given creative purpose.
