Dr. Gimel has over 10 years of experience providing evidence-based psychological interventions and treatment, and over five years of administering evidence-based psychological assessments to adolescents and adults. She utilizes an array of therapeutic interventions with an emphasis on cognitive behavioral therapy. Dr. Rogers presently works with survivors who are recovering from emotional, physical, and sexual abuse. Additionally, she assists clients who are involved in criminal, family, and civil cases involving a broad range of forensic issues.
Dr. Gimel is an ordained minister in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. She provides empowerment, healing, and restoration from the biblical perspective. Having published in the areas of culture, coping, spirituality, and trauma, she is an adjunct professor at Pacific Oaks College, Pepperdine University, and Point Loma Nazarene University, and teaches master and bachelor students. She provides a space of engaging and experiential learning by using effective teaching techniques to meet the students' needs. She uses these same techniques to provide psychological expertise on a variety of topics to churches, community organizations, professional and social groups, and media outlets.
