Hello One Temple Fitness Family! We hope you enjoyed your summer break and are ready for some new awesome topics. We are kicking off this season with a conversation around being a “Fashionista Christian.” Some might argue that fashion is an extension of our identity and what we wear communicates our values, personality, or way of life. What we put on our bodies has been a topic of discussion since the moment we were born; even certain colors have been associated with gender (pink is for girls and blue is for boys). It might be cliche to think that what we wear matters. This month, One Temple Fitness has invited the founders of "Called 2 Create Apparel" a Christian fashion line to discuss the intersection between faith and fashion. As a Christian, you might of had conversations with peers, parents, or adults regarding what was and was not appropriate to wear in and outside of church. You might of heard comments like, "Your pants are too low" "Your dress is too tight" or "That pattern is too busy." On the other hand, coming to church could feel like New York's fashion week where you could spy on who is rocking the latest and coolest new outfits on Sunday. Understanding that our faith makes us a walking billboard, we hope after listening to today's podcast you will take a deeper dive into what your brand is and how it is connected to your faith.
